Three players are ready, one place is open, and the court slot is getting closer. Finding a good fourth player starts with a clear invitation: the level of the game, the area, the time and what everyone expects from the session.
A compatible group can make a first game easier to organise and give you people to invite again. Here is a practical way to build that group in Dubai.
Describe the game you want
Choose the purpose of the session before inviting people. Are you learning the basics, playing socially, practising with a regular partner or looking for a competitive match?
Add the area, date, start time and duration. State whether a court has already been booked and explain the expected cost or what is still being confirmed. If you are filling a single place, say how many players are already committed.
Make the playing expectations concrete. Tell people whether your group is comfortable returning serve, using the glass and playing scored sets. That gives a new player context alongside a level number.
Start with the current JOINO Level scale
JOINO uses a playing level scale from 1 to 7. Your playing background and onboarding answers provide an initial estimate. That estimate gives you a starting point for discussing a match.
A questionnaire alone establishes an estimate of ability. When comparing profiles, look at the context available and ask about recent playing experience. Our Padel DNA page explains the current level approach.
If someone uses another app or club's scale, ask what that level means in play. A shared number across two systems needs context before you can use it to balance the teams.
Keep playing ability and community ratings separate
Playing level helps you judge the challenge of the game. Five-star community ratings provide a separate signal about a player's community track record.
Read the information available behind each signal. A new profile may have little history, so agree on expectations directly. Choose a first session that suits the group and use it to learn whether you enjoy playing together.
For a practice game, you can agree to rotate partnerships. For a competitive session, confirm teams and scoring before you start. Give all four players a chance to agree.
Connect through the controls available to you
JOINO is available on iOS, Android and the web. Create your player profile, add your preferred area and availability, then explore the players and matches available to your account.
Discover is opt-in for approved members aged 18 and over. A connection starts with an explicit request, and chat opens after acceptance. Privacy, block and report controls are available in the member experience. See our community overview for the current approach.
Local availability depends on who is using JOINO in your area. Invite the people you already play with and organise a game together when you are starting a new group.
Turn an accepted invitation into a clear plan
Once a player agrees, confirm the court, time, arrival point, cost and cancellation arrangements. Joining a JOINO match still requires the court booking to be confirmed separately with the venue.
Give the group one place to find the final details. Check that everyone has acknowledged the plan before you leave. After the session, ask whether the group wants to play again and agree on a possible day.
